I think that Blues is suggesting that each driver be distributed in a
separate package, and I suggested that the drivers are so small, there's
little point. The average DB driver, for instance, is 20k and even then,
it's negligible.
It's a good design right now, I believe. I'm just getting up now on
Friday. I'd like to have a go at adding gamma support to the PECL imagick
extension, but I can't figure out what the arguments for the ImageMagick C
function are. The C prototype is:
GammaImage(Image *,const char * level)
But the description is:
Use GammaImage() to gamma-correct an image. The same image viewed on
different devices will have perceptual differences in the way the image's
intensities are represented on the screen. Specify individual gamma levels
for the red, green, and blue channels, or adjust all three with the gamma
parameter. Values typically range from 0.8 to 2.3.
The C++ API is a little more obvious:
gammaImage(Image*, double gamma_)
gammaImage(Image*, double gammaRed_, double gammaGreen_, double gammaBlue_)
I guess I'll look at the 'convert' source code.
