Hi Shane,
When using Soap 0.6.2 I noticed a code/documentation mismatch regarding
timeout in http transport: documentation states that the "timeout" option
sets the socket timeout, while the code only uses it to set the connect
timeout.
3 possible fixes:
a) change the documentation
b) add socket_set_timeout call to make timeout work as both connect and
socket timeout
c) make timeout the "official" connect timeout, add a seperate option for IO
timeout.
I've choosen option c for my system since I actually need an IO timeout to
recover sensibly if the remote system isn't working correctly, and I think
that it's reasonable to have different timeouts for initial connect and IO.
I've attached a patch against 0.6.2.
Bye, Martin
PS: I'm also having some troubles wrt interpretation of WSDL service
descriptions produced by asp.net - there's a difference of opinion regarding
complex input parameters for calls. Is this a known issue?
