that's exactly what I did, but the body of the response seems not to be reconized by gzuncompress() on the online manual there are already several comments about that http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.gzencode.php other developers complain about the missing function gzdecode() ! some explain that over HTTP, some gzip headers (inside compressed data) are quite different that when in a file.
