The DBA package no longer contains all of the table and query functions as
before; it now only deals with the basic storage object that associates
keys to values. Aside from adding persistence support, this should not
change after the next release, so it'll be a beta once persistence is
added.
DBA_Relational contains the query and table management stuff. It's been
changing a bit as I refine the API and such. So, it should remain
Developmental for a while longer. It needs sequence support added and to
drop support for auto_increment except as an internal attribute.
SQL_Parser contains the SQL parsing stuff. It's working fine, but its
output may change. If you want to try it out or write some test cases,
there are some .sql files in the tests/ directory you can add them to.
Just run 'php ./generate_testcases.php -f <file>.sql > <file>.php' to
create an updated testsuite, and see if the results were what you
expected in the resulting .php file. Then, should the parser later break a
particular query, the diffs are easy to catch.
Soon, there will be a SQL_DBA that provides the execution routines for
running SQL queries on a DBA_Relational-managed database.
That's all,
- Brent
