Hi,
Some time ago, we talked about the new config class I wrote. Former class
authors said it was ok for them to see this new version in CVS. As both
classes, the new and the old one, behave differently and have a different
API, I am wondering what would be the procedure to commit it.
Wouldn't it be better to create a new directory for this class instead of
branching from the current config class so that people using this one will
still be able to work on it and/or install it ?
There is a Configuration category in PEAR. At the moment, only Config is
available in there and actually, I don't see what else could get in.
The problem is about the same as the one we had with Cache_Lite.
My suggestion is that I could make a new dir called Config_OO (as the main
difference between the old and the new classes is that all config elements
in my class - directives, sections, comments, blanks - are objects) and put
my class in it.
What's your opinion on that ?
TIA
