Looks cool, but all the examples in it are broken. :[
I assume you are talking about the line breaks and the syntax highlighting. I started the .chm file by adding the original PEAR stylesheet to the <head> section of the files wich are on the website for download. I did that again with a new copy and the linebreaks are now allright. Still there is no syntax highlighting available since the downloadable HTML files differ from the online manual in that respect: Code example from core.pear.pear.intro.html (download version) <pre> ... class FileContainer extends PEAR {
    var $file = '';
    var $contents = '';
    var $modified = 0;
... </pre> The same bit online (linebreaks after </font> added by myself) <font color="#7F007F">{<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;var </font> <font color="#0000BB">$file </font><font color="#7F007F">= </font> <font color="#007F00">''</font><font color="#7F007F">;<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;var </font><font color="#0000BB">$contents </font> <font color="#7F007F">= </font><font color="#007F00">''</font> <font color="#7F007F">;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;var </font> <font color="#0000BB">$modified </font><font color="#7F007F">= </font> <font color="#0000BB">0</font><font color="#7F007F">;<br /> Now there are several ways to deal with the issue. Either I just add the stylesheet link which means we will have correct linebreaks but no highlighting. Or I mirror the online manual with an offline reader (linebreaks ok, highlighting ok, but quite a bit more work for me to get rid of the left column an the top row). Or you guys provide me the version of the manual that is online but without the navigation column and without the masthead/search block. My decision goes to fix it for online and let the CHM depend on that,
as to IE (other browsers, maybe too), having problems with missing \n after a <br />. This should kill two birds with one stone: a) the problem Hodicska Gergely reported [1] (also see HTML above) and b) the problem with broken examples in CHM version as reported by Alexey Borzov [2] [1] http://news.php.net/article.php?group=php.pear.doc&article=1785 [2] http://news.php.net/article.php?group=php.pear.doc&article=1787 -- Dennis Sterzenbach http://www.darknoise.de/
