In my eyes "principles" doesn't make clear enough what these "rules" are meant to be fore. They are not just "suggestions" but they are intended as "rules" without being too strict and saying "standards". The name was chosen after a long discussion with Lukas regarding the fear or people coding, using PEAR, and the developers contributing to PEAR because there exist too many "standards". From my view recommendations fits better - however others might have different opinions ... please express them here. Regards, Stefan
