New Comment:
This bug has been fixed in CVS.
In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the
end of next Sunday (CET) on pear.php.net.
In case this was a pear.php.net website problem, the change will show
up on the website in short time.
Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PEAR better.
Tested it executing via
php example.php make
php -q example.php make
./example.php make (with a shebang at the top)
always make was argv[1] - so I assume this bug was really justified.
thank you!

Description:
------------
http://pear.php.net/manual/en/package.pear.pear-packagefilemanager.pear-packagefilemanager-summary.php
says in the example:
42 if (isset($_GET['make']) || $_SERVER['argv'][2] == 'make') {
I think this should read $_SERVER['argv'][1] because else, what should
the
first argument be? (the 0th is always the name of the command)
