HI Lorenzo, If you like I can link your documentation to an external page (e.g. a wiki) see some examples and the doc status on my page http://pear.gurugeek.org yawiki, the wiki I use there which is great (and was coded by Paul) is already available on your hosting on dotgeek. I am also finishing a script which does the manual entry (see examples on text_wiki, mail_imap) on the fly, you just fill a form and is almost done. Hit me any time for any further help on this. Cheers David Costathanks Paul, that's exactly my feeling... I'm one of the few devs who *do* try to document all my packages, but I find myself spending *much* more time on it than I'd do with other means. Still, I keep on trying to write them in docbook, because that's the preferred format. Please appreciate my efforts, at least. I'm *really* grateful to people like Mehdi that are so kind to help, but I hate to depend on others and I hate to make them spend their time (which I value as I do with mine) to fix my errors.
I think the current situation is quite frustrating: having to wait a full week to see the result of one's efforts is a long feedback loop indeed. And seeing it failing for the whole manual is not that nice. I can feel and share Daniel's disappointment here.I've lost the count of the number of hours I spent trying to set up that jade/dsssl/docbook box. Having a working build environment on windows is an utopia. I've also tried with my freebsd box, but it looks like the ports aren't working, since the compilation failed after >6 hours of bit crunching. I've tried with both jade and openjade, same results. Frankly, I'm really sick and tired of it. I wonder if having an online testbed would be possible: a textarea where I could paste the xml code and have the compile report back, immediately, without the "one-week" time frame...
