Thanks Regards XpertScorpion Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-12-17 18:37:08] arnaud at php dot net An easy solution is to install locally and ftp the files over. You can also use the PEAR_RemoteInstaller package (still in alpha) to install packages remotely via ftp. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-12-15 22:06:15] ah at hofmann-edv-beratung dot de Well, ok, but what to do on a shared hosting package, when I dont have any access to a shell? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-11-25 04:30:24] harish020 at yahoo dot com From the message, Your installation seems OK, and typing 'pear' at your shell or command prompt should work. Just as the warning says: Do a channel-update "pear.php.net" at your shell or command prompt. > pear channel-update "pear.php.net" That should fix the warning. Probably then, if you will feel comfortable, you can also upgrade to a latest version of PEAR with, >pear upgrade-all The upgrade is just to make sure all components you have latest changes in PEAR with them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-09-24 07:26:26] mikeh at mite dot net Description: ------------ I run lynx -source http://go-pear.org/ | php and press enter 3 times.
