You have the PEAR-installer (which can be run by simply using "pear" at the command-line) as well as some PEAR base packages already installed. When you try to install a package that's simply done by using "pear install packagename". Removal, upgrading etc. is also easy to do using the installer. Have a look at "pear help" for all options available. > 2) How do i implement the pear package into my php coding? The PEAR-directories are normally already added to your include-path. If not, please add your pear-directory in the include-path in your php.ini. Using a PEAR-package just requires a simple: require_one('Validate.php'); or whatever package / file you wish to use. Have a look at the available packages at http://pear.php.net > 3) Right now i'm developing a system and find that pear is quit > usefull for me but can you sent me a bit of example how to > implement pear into my coding. There is no general "implementing pear". PEAR is the base for all packages. You just have to decide which packages you wish to use. E.g. you might with to use the Validate-package fo easily do input- validation. Have a look at the website and see which packages might already (partially) solve the problems you otherwise would implement in your coding. Usage of PEAR is strongly suggested since the code is maintained, you have much less work yourself and your basing all your work on a solid, well-established framework. Hope this helped you a bit; Regards Stefan
