You suspect correctly. Please get rid of the crappy sybase extension and compile using --with-mssql instead. Also works on Unix/Linux since PHP 4.3.0. Alternatively, you can try ODBTP located at http://odbtp.sourceforge.net/. It requires another service to be installed on the MSSQL server as well, but it's worth it - excellent performance, excellent compatibility, even better than the MSSQL extension itself. A PEAR::DB driver for ODBTP is available since the latest stable release. CU Markus
