Hello Barry, Make sure SLSA1 can be resolved correctly. Try it with the ip address instead of the hostname. Try to connect to another database if possible which works fine with your other apps. Try to connect with php's mssql_connect function to see if it can connect. If it cannot, your problem is not with PEAR. int mssql_connect ( [string servername [, string username [, string password]]] ) Regards, Norbert
