PHP_CompatInfo install problem under WinXP

hello there, I cannot install PHP_CompatInfo under Apache/WinXP. It keeps saying me that "sockets" extension is not installed, thus dependencies cannot be satisfied; yet I see sockets enabled on my phpinfo() output. Tweaking the only configuration line in php.ini: sockets.use_system_read = On/Off doesn't really change the situation. Also, I cannot find any reference to tokenizer in php.ini, nor documentation Can anyone give a pointer?
