pear as dll?

i`ve downloaded newest pear from cvs and i see some important changes. pear
is no longer php class? its an extension? how can i use it - do i have to
download php header files from cvs to build dll or can i find a downloadable
binaries somewhere? so many questions :) let`s make it easier - where can i
find tutorial on using this dll pear on windows.
