The new PEAR package Payment_Process-0.5 (beta) has been released at http://pear.php.net/.
Release notes

* Information about the payment source is now contained in a Payment_Process_Type-derived class.
* Authorize.net Processor added, by Joe Stump.
* DPILink & Dummy Processors updated to use new semantics.
* A Common class was added, which contains utility functionality common to all Processors.

Payment_Process is a gateway-independent framework for processing credit cards, and eventually
e-checks and other forms of payments as well.
