hi all,
i am using pear version 1.3 and php version 4.2.3 on OpenBSD 3.3 i386.
i am experiencing an odd problem and don't know how to work around it; i
try to install the package 'Config' which has a dependency to XML_Util.
trying to install XML_Util gives me an error :
$ pear install -f -n -B XML_Util
downloading XML_Util-0.5.2.tgz ...
Starting to download XML_Util-0.5.2.tgz (6,540 bytes)
.....done: 6,540 bytes
'xml' PHP extension is not installed
xml is installed tho:
$ php -m
Running PHP 4.2.3
...
xml
...
just to make sure i have manually added the command line switch -c
ini_file in the pear script.
questions:
1) why is pear not finding out that xml is installed?
2) why is eighter (or both) of the options -f -n still not allowing me
to install even if i don't care about deps?
personally i don't really care what pear thinks ... i just need this
extension installed (i actually don't even need xml config files).
any help will be appreciated.
Cheers,
Simon
