Hi guys,
Since I moved to PEAR DB (I'm using the current version), I noted a huge amount of change db calls under MySQL
SHOW STATUS. I backported one particulary intenstive app to the builtin PHP4 mysql_* functions, and (unsurprisingly) all the change db calls disappeared. This is by far the most common query going on at the moment - it's almost as if one is being issues with every database operation! Is there any way to throttle this, short of hacking the DB mysql client code (which is an ugly solution)?
Cheers, Leon
