If you're running apache, I'd suggest setting the include_path directive in a
.htaccess like this:
php_value include_path "."
Else use set_ini() in your script. I suppose it would be easiest for you to
set it for all documents in your docroot. The other way would be to include a
configuration file in each script (all linked to the same, of course), so
that you can easily activate or deactivate the unstable packages by
commenting out the set_ini line.
