Excel Spreadsheet copy formats

Hi! Is there a way to copy a format in Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer? What I want is: Format ... (eg. Bold with a certain bg) childFormat1 (with left border) childFormat2 (without borer) childFormat3 (with right border) This would be great because this way I could change all 3 formats at once and would not need to change each of them separately. (A bit like in Word when I change standard font type - the formats which are based on standard also change) Actually I am just looking for a way to copy all the object-properties. I am sure that is possible - but - somehow I do not know how ... Regards Daniel
