Hi, I have tried to use the named class in one of my applications and I have ecountered the following problems: 1. Prints HTML, does not return it -- solved with with output buffering functions, though I consider it to be an ugly hack. This has been changed due to an insane amount of requests :) I didn't really think too much about it, but it seems everyone hates it. I will be releasing .5 soon, sorry for the delay, please be patient :)
2. Reordering does not take into account the current $_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'], which is quite inconvenient. This is also fixed in the next release. I implemented HTML::pager
3. Adding "Edit" columns is quite unintuitive, even after skimming the function code, and I could not make it work with a class method ( static or not ). Maybe resorting to the good old call_user_func() would work.I am still working on the "formatter" method, I am trying to make it as easy and intuitive as possible. Let me know if you have any suggestions
4. Too much hardcoded HTML attributes. Maybe making two .oddrow .evenrow CSS entries would make customizing the output easier.Let me think about this more.
5. The Smarty output approach is self-centered, and it is difficult to integrate it into my app. IMHO it is better used by HTML_QuickForm.Explain this more, what don't you like about the smarty renderer?
Nevertheless, this is a very usefull class and I would like to see it develop further. RobertThanks and I appreciate the comments. Feel free to help on the development. Andrew
