Hello list goers,
I am trying to recompile PHP (and PEAR) to work with Oracle 9i Client on a
Mandrake 9.2 machine. Seems straight forward, and it configures and makes
just fine, but when I try to do a "make install" it fails with this message:
Installing PEAR environment: /usr/share/pear/
/usr/src/php-4.3.4/sapi/cli/php: error while loading shared libraries:
libclntsh.so.9.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [install-pear-installer] Error 127
make: *** [install-pear] Error 2
If I build it without PEAR, it works just fine. I looked in the Makefile
and the path to the library appears in a couple of places:
EXTRA_LDFLAGS = -avoid-version -module -L/opt/oracle/products/9.2.0/lib
EXTRA_LDFLAGS_PROGRAM = -L/opt/oracle/products/9.2.0/lib
But this doesn't seem to matter.
Any help would be great,
Thanks!
