MDB2 beta1 problem

I'm trying to use a prepared statement in MDB2 and im getting the following error:
[2] loadmodule(MDB2/Datatype.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory
Error in line 1307 of file /usr/share/pear/MDB2.php
PHP 4.3.4 (Linux)
Did i set something up wrong or is this a real bug
