try: $my_qfc_instance->container('true'); or inside the perform()-method of your derived 'submit'-action: $page->controller->container('true'); startingpoint for doc/manpages is e.g. here: http://pear.php.net/manual/en/package.html.html-quickform-controller.html-quickform-controller.container.phpWell, I looked at the documentation for the container method. I guess that'll work. It looks like I just have to set my defaults *after* resetting it, and that's fine. Thank you for your assistance. I did try to look at the documentation, but from the listing of methods, it wasn't apparent that any of them could be used to reset the form data. The description for container() just says "Returns a reference to the form's values container." Again, thanks for your assistance. Jeff Schmidt
