Dear Sir or Madame, I am Karlis Vesters a Latvian University 3rd course student. I am writing a course paper about using PEAR in building PHP applications at the moment. I would be greatfull if you could send some useful information concerning my course paper: I would like you to send me the answers to the several questions if possible: 1)are there any statistics of how many PHP projects are using PEAR and if this number is growing 2) which packages are used more often (in percentage) 3) who are your greatest competitors ( meaning classes) 4) for what project PEAR is more preferable? (small ones or big ones, why) 5) what are the advantages and disadvantages of using pear in small and big projects?(speed, quality, accommodations) 6) what are the greatest problems by using PEAR for developing and how to cope with it?
