Michael - Many thanks! The "lynx" command installed an up to date version of PEAR, however, I am not acquainted with "lynx". Now when I do a listing of available packages, "Calendar" is not listed. Now sure how to proceed. Todd Michael Wallner wrote:

When it comes to install PEAR freshly, I'd suggest you to run php -r 'include "http://go-pear.org/";' or lynx -source http://go-pear.org/ | php` if your PHP has no -r option. Have fun,
