installation of SOAP-0.8RC3 and Net_Socket-1.0.2

Hello, I tried to install SOAP-0.8RC3 (on windows XP pc) : - since the soap package is dependent on the HTTP_Request-1.2.1 package, I first tried to install this package; - since HTTP_Request-1.2.1 is dependent on Net_Socket-1.0.2, I first tried to install the socket package : - pear install Net_Socket-1.0.2 => Package 'Net_Socket' already installed, skipping - pear install HTTP_Request-1.2.1 => requires package 'Net_Socket' >= 1.0.2 HTTP_request:Dependencies failed So, if I try to install the socket package it fails, because it is already installed. Trying to install the HTTP_Request package fails because the socket package is not installed ??????!! Of course, if I try to install the soap package it fails because I could not install the HTTP_Request package. I very recently installed php, so I have the last version. I installed Pear today, so I have definitely the last version. Can anyone help me out of this problem ? Thanks ! Paul Masquelier paul@mannasoft.be
