Spoke too soon! I commented out the setBufferSize() before I tried your
last changes. Setting the buffer size back again seemed to do the

Using mdb had the same results. I tried the latest db.php cvs revision.

no, you're the first one reporting it.
Anyway, I just found & fixed an error in the _preload() method of the db
container, maybe unrelated, however an error.
Could you check latest cvs revision, please?
Does the mdb driver have the same behavior?
