Hi, I am trying to generate forms from a database using QuickForm. [snip]
I would appreciate it if someone could tell me where I am going wrong. Or perhaps there is another approach to generating forms from a database using QuickForms.:-) If you want a form based on a table in your database look no further than DB_DataObject_FormBuilder. It can create your forms for you, deals with some data types on its own, will create select boxes for foreign keys, and supports lots of customization. For a short list of some of the features, check out: http://www.reversefold.com/PEAR/DB_DataObject_FormBuilder/docs.html Note: this is not a tutorial, you need to get DB_DataObject set up first, then use the sample code in FormBuilder.php to set upo your form. You can also get a newer version (bug fixed and with new crossLink and tipleLink features) at this URL: http://www.reversefold.com/PEAR/DB_DataObject_FormBuilder/FormBuilder.dates_and_crossLinks.phps The one in CVS is broken and the newest release needs bug fixes.... -- paperCrane <Justin Patrin>
