I think I've descended into the third circle of dependency hell. Can anyone tell me what's going on here?
[root@Sonic1 /]# pear install HTTP_Request
downloading HTTP_Request-1.2.2.tgz ...
...done: 12,208 bytes
Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 284 of 1273 bytes in Registry.php on line 339
requires package `Net_Socket' >= 1.0.2
HTTP_Request: Dependencies failed
[root@Sonic1 /]# pear install Net_Socket
Net_Socket already installed
[root@Sonic1 /]# pear upgrade Net_Socket
downloading Net_Socket-1.0.2.tgz ...
...done: 3,706 bytes
Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 284 of 1273 bytes in Registry.php on line 339
Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 284 of 1273 bytes in Registry.php on line 339
Net_Socket not installed
[root@Sonic1 /]# pear info Net_Socket
Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 284 of 1273 bytes in Registry.php on line 339
Nothing found for `Net_Socket'
[root@Sonic1 /]#
I'm trying to duplicate a configuration on another machine where everything is working fine.
How do I get rid of the phantom Net_Socket so I can install a real one... or isn't that what's going on here?
pear list also throws a bunch of the Notice: unserialize(): errors, but they also happen on the machine that works.
