[Thanks, Paul, for the answer on $expire/$idle: that answered it for me.]
Is it necessary to have an explicit session_start() when you implement
Auth? I am using version 1.2.3, and looking at the source code it would
seem that @session_start is done when you do a
$a -> start()but this is not happening. At least, I am not getting cookies set. I saw an online implementation that used an explicit session_start at the top of the file, and this seems to fix the problem, but should it really be necessary? Why isn't the session_start in the start() method "kicking in"?
