I've tried, a number of times over the past year, to update pear.
He's what I have. I'm running Apache 2 and PHP 4.3.4. I'm running this on an iMac and I used the Apache2/PHP/MySQL installer provided at serverlogistics.com. Apache installed and runs great. PHP installed and runs great, as does MySQL.
Now, PEAR is installed but need to be updated.
I found the pear CLI shell script in /Library/PHP4/bin/
I run the following command from inside that directory so I can get the new PEAR base files:
./pear install PEAR
and I get the following error.
Could not get contents of package "/Library/PHP4/bin/PEAR". Invalid tgz file.
Now the PEAR files are located in /Library/PHP4/lib/php
Anyway I can get this going?
Thanks a million.
