I'm running on an iMac which comes with a default installation of PHP & Apache. I then installed a Apache 2/PHP 4.3.4/MySQL (can't remember which version) and they all work great.
The new version of PHP installed PEAR in the following directory "/Library/PHP4/lib/php" and installed the pear shell script in "/Library/PHP4/bin".
When I run that pear script, it is accessing the wrong version of PEAR. It's accessing the old version of PEAR that came with the default installation of PHP which is located in "/usr/lib/php".
How can I get the pear shell script to recognize the newer installation of PEAR.
Here is the contents of that PEAR script. You will notice that I even tried to comment out the if/else statements that looked for the PEAR install and set them manually. Still no luck. It still picks the wrong version.
BEGIN SHELL SCRIPT
#!/bin/sh
# first find which PHP binary to use
if test "x$PHP_PEAR_PHP_BIN" != "x"; then
PHP="$PHP_PEAR_PHP_BIN"
else
if test "/Library/PHP4/bin" = '@'php_bin'@'; then
PHP=phpelse
PHP="/Library/PHP4/bin/php"fi fi # then look for the right pear include dir #if test "x$PHP_PEAR_INSTALL_DIR" != "x"; then # INCDIR=$PHP_PEAR_INSTALL_DIR # INCARG="-d include_path=$PHP_PEAR_INSTALL_DIR" #else # if test "/Library/PHP4/lib/php" = '@'php_dir'@'; then
# INCDIR=dirname $0
# INCARG=""
# else
INCDIR="/Library/PHP4/lib/php"
INCARG="-d include_path=/Library/PHP4/lib/php"
# fi
#fi
exec php -C -q -d include_path=/Library/PHP4/lib/php -d output_buffering=1 /Library/PHP4/lib/php/pearcmd.php "$@"
END SHELL SCRIPT
