maybe this is off topic,
but did anyone found
a solution for having just a single source of
authentication for all my webapps? do there exist
any module that shifts .htaccess-checking
from passwd-files to a db? (maybe by telling
apache to pipe an access-directive to a php
script instead lookin it up in the referenced
passwd-file?)
maybe anyone knows a nice opensource
solution? i think its bad design to have various
layers of authentication (php->mysql/http/ldap/mail/..)
with steadily unsynched/non-unique login/pw-
combinations.
sorry to all who read this via mail and dont
give a damn about it.
