I'd say that using Smarty is not really MVC for a start so the first question
you should ask yourself is : "Is using Smarty for MVC ok ?" and the answer would
be no, because Smarty adds logic to your View so MVC is broken from the ground
up :)
But I don't see any problems in using QuickForm in an MVC pattern as its job is
mostly related to the View. I have used QuickForm with Ismo and Sigma
succesfully and been able to preserve a somewhat MVC compliant design. I don't
know Phrame yet unfortunately.
It might be more difficult to use HTML_QuickForm_Controller within another
framework as QF_Controller already uses the _GET variables to control
QuickForm's behaviour (that's one of the reasons why it was released as a
separate package) and _GET are used by other frameworks to do the same with your
application logic, so they might conflict. But with some care, it is feasible
too.
