You probably don't have the database access extension compiled into PHP that you need. What database are you using? What extensions are in your PHP? Run phpinfo() on both servers and see what extensions are installed.
On Debian, it's usually just a matter of typing : 'apt-get install php4-mysql', or 'apt-get install php4-pgsql', etc... Try a 'dpkg -l php4\*' to check all available estensions. -- og
