I didn't see an answer to this problem in the archives, so here goes.
First of all, I do not have shell access to the server, nor can I get it. I have pursued that
through my ISP, to no avail.
I went through the website documentation to figure out what I needed to do, downloaded and
saved go-pear.php, and uploaded it to the web server in a library called install.
I created and made 777 directory access for:
bin
cache
data
docs
PEAR
tests
Then I proceeded to run the script as a web page. Here's the display that came from it:
Starting installation ...

Downloading package: Archive_Tar-stable....ok
Downloading package: Console_Getopt-stable....ok
Downloading package: XML_RPC-stable....ok

The progress bar showed 70% completion when this happened. I am at my absolute wit's end to
figure out why this is happening. Can someone please help? Thanks in advance.
