Hi,
PEAR XML-RPC doesn't seem to work with the Java Apache xmlrpc package.
I have PHP as the server and Java as the client. The client works with many different xmlrpc implementations (also on PHP), but throws a parser error with the PEAR xmlrpc class: "Fatal error parsing XML: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: expected Element". Somehow, it can't read the response correctly.
I already checked if a XML response gets generated by PEAR, and it does. Java just doesn't seem to understand it, altough it looks right.
I already fixed the "missing newline" bug in my PEAR source, so the method name can be found by PHP. But thats as far as I can get, it's still not working.
So, is there anything known about this incompatibility? Any adivice/fixes etc?
I tried the original useful inc. version, tried WinXP and Linux as host, PHP 4 and 5, to no success.
Or could anyone recommend a alternative PHP class? There aren't that many quality xmlrpc libs for PHP out there, it seems...
Thanks a lot,
Michael Böckling
