I am trying to install with very little luck the login script from Martin, I have spent days trying to get this to work with no success. It might help if you would let us know what package you are trying to make work (Auth? LiveUser?). Also, I don't know which Martin you are referring to.
I came across some very average instructions today from Luke Williams on how to install it. The instrctions mention needing a package called DB_Common I have searched your site and the net for package with no success. There is no package DB_Common. The class DB_Common, however, is included in the DB package. I assume these instructions are either very old or very poor. From the command line, installing pear packages is very easy: pear install DB or pear upgrade DB You don't want to untar the packages directly, as the files in them are distributed and may contain required replacements (for path, etc.). If you have difficulties with the command line, you can install the web installer. It is very easy to use. Klaus
