Hi all,
I am sure this question gets asked all the time...
I am attempting a manual installation of PEAR and several modules. I am
running a test version of a website on an XP box running Apache. The
live site is on a hosted Apache environment, which I have shell and FTP
access to. PEAR is not currently installed, nor do I have access to
php.ini.
So, I created the following dir structure:
/public_html
/php
/includes
/PEAR
/DB
/Info
/HTTP
/Header
/PEAR
I then made a test script which lives in the php directory:
<?php
ini_set('include_path', '../php/includes/PEAR/');
require_once 'Info/Info.php';
?>
This script dies with the following error:
Warning: main(PEAR.php): failed to open stream: No such file or
directory in
d:\devel\html\resortscopev2\php\includes\PEAR\PEAR\Remote.php on line 21
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'PEAR.php'
(include_path='../php/includes/PEAR/') in
d:\devel\html\resortscopev2\php\includes\PEAR\PEAR\Remote.php on line 21
So I am guessing that the problem is that my ini_set is not global to
all the PEAR modules. Like I said, I cannot modify the php.ini file, so
whatever I do, it has to be manual.
How can I set my PEAR directories?
