I'm installing PEAR for the first time on a virtual server on which
I have limited access. The PEAR installer seems to be hitting an error.
I've tracked it down to PEAR_INSTALL_DIR being set to
'/usr/local/lib/php' (which I suppose is PHP_LIBDIR), even though
I installed PEAR into '/vs3/vs3/macroped/usr/local/lib/php'.
Is this a bug that PEAR_INSTALL_DIR isn't defaulting to where
I installed PEAR, or I am missing something?
Thanks for your advice.
