As it says from the docs "having a quick but working prototype of your application," I love the idea but is there a way to template the form in a particular way preferably with HTML_Template_Flexy and also use a different db class other than pear db ?
FormBuilder produces a fairly normal HTML_QuickForm object. Using HTML_QuickForm_Renderer classes, you can easily apply templates for outputting the form. Please have a look at the QuickForm docs (and more importantly, the examples provided with the package, which are pretty much complete) to see how it's done. Regarding the abstraction layer, as FormBuilder builds on top of DB_DataObject, there is no possibility to use another abstraction package yet. Lukas Smith has once started to port DataObject over to MDB2, but he hasn't got more time to develop it any further, which is why there hasn't ever been any release for that. Also, Alan is preparing a C extension, DBDO, that will likely be the next generation of DataObject, which will not have a need for a PHP-based abstraction layer anymore (all built-in using C libraries, which is a hellofalot faster :-)). Thus, it's doubtful that you'll see any development in that direction anytime soon :-) CU Markus
