I found a solution :
IF the RDBMS is MSSQL, I cast the VARCHAR to TEXT
This let me keep using a varchar in the database definition (for text search purpose), while getting
the full varchar content in my select.

Is there a limit to the number of chars returned by a fetch on a varchar(4000) in MSSQL ??
MDB seem to return only 255 chars.
I set the datatype param in the query($query, $datatype) correctly.
Is there a limit? is there an option?
