I'm writing a small site for an Intranet, where I need the users to ba able to browse for a filepath (on a network drive), which then gets stored in the database. I know the file upload element gives me a browse button, however I don't want to be uploading a file (as the file will usually be a huge video or audio file), I just want the database to store a path to the file on a network drive as a text field.
I'm using HTML_Quickform and DB_DataObject to generate forms that interface with the database. A quick gander at the docs for HTML_Quickform, tells me
"*Warning: *The official documentation records this element as being depreciated, and may not be supported in future versions of QuickForm."
So does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could implement this?
Thanks,
Arthur.
