And anybody who uses Windows but claims not to be able to use .tar/.gz/.bz2 should have look at PowerArchiver (http://www.powerarchiver.com/). It's free and it handles just about all archive/compressed formats... besides the fact that gzip, gunzip and tar are all available as Win32 binaries from ftp://ftp.gnu.org...
