I'm following the pear manual: Installation of a local PEAR copy on a shared host
http://pear.php.net/manual/en/installation.shared.php
I created the .pearrc file just fine, however, when I try to install the base packages using the command on the website:
*$ pear -c ~/.pearrc install Archive_Tar PEAR Console_Getopt XML_RPC
It fails with the following error:
no signature found for package.info(string,string,bool)
What do I need to do to correct this?
