This is a notice and it's normal when you access a variable which has not been set. The difference is that your copy has error reporting for notices turned off (probably E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE). Whereas the other server probably has it set to E_ALL. You can either change the ini setting to E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE or use ini_set in your script(s) to set that, or use isset() before you access the var. if (isset($_SESSION['iuname'])) { echo $_SESSION['iuname']; } > > The line was written to display a Session variable. > > <input type="text" name="username" value="<? echo > $_SESSION['iuname'] ?>" size="15" maxlength="45" > tabindex="1" height="3">. > > Where can I look on the ISP server to ensure that php web > pages can display values? > > Problem 2: (Might be related to problem 1 - so this may be a statement) > > I was given the ISP's php_info and compared it to my php_info.
