I just did a default installation of php and PEAR on windows. pear.bat works
fine but I seem to be having some other issue. Here is what happens when I
tried to install the log package:

The log folder was created, and the log.reg key was created but... well that
was about it. No problems on my freeBSD box but windows ain't happy.
