Hi there,
couple of days ago i tried out Firebird.
Direct connection via ibase_connect works ok, but a connection via PEAR
DB Classes wont work
In the source-File the line assembling the dsn the slash is wrong.
$dbhost = $dsninfo['hostspec'] ?
($dsninfo['hostspec'] . ':/' . $dsninfo['database']) :
$dsninfo['database'];
Deleting the slash solves the problem connecting to a firebird DB.
Nect problem are sequences, which are automaticly created.
Creating the sequence with a nextID-Call works, but getting the next id
issues an error message
Warning: ibase_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid InterBase result resource in
c:\php\pear\DB\ibase.php on line 196
My fault or a bug in the interbase class ?
To your information php version 4.2.1. Postgres and mysql is working
ciao Peter
