Problems installing pecl package

Hi I tryed to install XDebug on my linux system. When I run: pear install Xdebug I get: downloading xdebug-1.3.2.tgz ... How can I fix this? BTW: I am using xampp from apachefriends.org and I have Zend Studio installed wich makes a link in /opt/lamp/etc/php.ini to /usr/local/Zend/etc/php.ini.
